こけし – Kokeshi

Russian doll

As i wrote before, I started drawing dolls inspired by the Japanese Kokeshi dolls, mine are not exactly like the originals, they are just inspired and loosely based on them.. I draw freely as Iimagine them.

This time some were made especially for loved friends, I also received some suggestions to add some details to my drawings.

As always I work at night, just a few minutes every day, listening to music and enjoying the process, the main idea is to do something that I like and have fun at the same time. i had the idea of dressing one doll with a costume from the russian army this is my favorite from this group……….. And thanks to my dear friend Abi for helping me to take these pictures..

During these nights i´ve been making many sketches and exploring ideas and listening to traditional russian songs and the new album from Paradise lost and Moonspell… they both are great albums, very exciting to listen to old bands make music like they used to do in their best days.
